Online support has come a long way and is a great alternative, as long as the machine doesn't need to be taken apart for hardware related issues obviously.
I aimed to provide support in as many ways as I could to accommodate and facilitate the different needs of my clients.
For example, if a client is more comfortable using a chat program to communicate with me, I've made that available to registered users as well as guests on this site. There are a few chat rooms designated to different topics and you'll find the tab for them on the upper left hand side of your monitor.
I also provide a Helpdesk alternative for those who are registered users on my site. Here the user can submit a ticket and communication is done through this interface.
Remote access is another great way of exploring a clients computer issues with neither one of use having to leave the comfort of our home. This is provided that the computer is still functional enough to access online.
